WhatsApp: Latest update on Groups feature - "Expiring Groups" feature
WhatsApp: Groups on WhatsApp are no longer permanent
WhatsApp is going to introduce “Expiring Groups” feature on
the line of “disappearing messages” and “view once” features on whatsapp.
School, college, office or apartment, WhatsApp groups are
created everywhere to communicate the same thing to more people. In some cases,
friends and colleagues create temporary groups and discus things like a
birthday part, a college tour or festive celebration. Then they forget to
delete them. WhatsApp will be introducing a new feature for such people.
With this feature called “Expiring Groups”, users can create
temporary groups, similar to disappearing messages and view once features.
Automatically deleted after a specific period of time selected by the user. The
feature, which is currently in the testing phase, will soon be made available
to regular users.
How does it work ?
After creating a WhatsApp group, you need to go to group info.
The group settings option appears in it.
If you click on it, you will have an option called Expiring Groups. When you tap on it, you will see four options:
- Day
- Week
- Custom Date
- Remove Expiration Date.
Some new features:
Apart from this, WhatsApp will also introduce some new features to its users.
These include features such as:
- Silence Unknown Callers
- Schedule Calls
- Transcribe voice messages etc.
