Gout in Pregnancy - Affects on Children & Remedies
Gout in Pregnancy affects Children & Remedies
Some pregnant women develop high blood pressure
before the end of their term. Protein is also lost in the urine. This is called
pre-eclampsia. It has been found that the risk of paralysis and heart disease
is increasing in children exposed to this while in the mother’s womb. Previous
studies have shown that blood pressure is high in such children.
In this
context, the researchers of Karolina Institute in Sweden examined the details
about 85 lakh children. Heart disease and paralysis are very less among them.
However, the risk of heart disease increases to 33% and the risk of stroke
increases to 34% by the time children who are affected by pregnancy are found
to be 19 years old.
Prevention:
Avoid foods high in purines.
Red meat and organ meats, such as liver, are especially high in purines. Purine-rich seafood includes anchovies, sardines, mussels, scallops, trout and tuna. Low-fat dairy products may be a better source of protein for people prone to gout.
